I purchased a 4th generation Apple TV. I can't activate HBO Go or Showtime Anywhere. They both activated on my 3rd generation. I have Charter cable.
Any ideas?

Check Charter website to confirm they (still) support HBO Go.
Have you downloaded the apps? ATV 4 doesn't come with any channels built-in, except for iTunes. You have to get the apps from the TV app store.
