Q: My Apple TV remote is activating my Itunes.  Any suggestions?

My Apple TV remote activates Itunes on my IMac.  El Capitan 10.11.6.  Any suggestions?

you will need to shut off all remote access (the remote control, not the "remote" connectivity service) to your mac. Follow the directions, they apply for El Cap as well

OS X Yosemite: Turn infrared reception on or off
