I Wanted to send my phone in for a screen repair so I logged on to the apple website and searched for repairs. After that I was instructed to enter my serial bed which I did
but it kept on saying it's invalid

i bought it off a website. Got the serial number off the box.
Get the serial number from Settings>General>About. Sounds like you bought a gray market phone that was re-packaged, possibly counterfeit packaging or even a counterfeit phone.
