Q: Why did my monthly photo streams stop appearing in Aperture?

I use my Aperture monthly photo streams to organize my photos in various Aperture files, after which I can delete the photo stream to keep things tidy.  March 2016 was the last photo stream that appeared.  I back up data weekly, and install all new updates as requested by Apple.  Learning to use Aperture was a steep learning curve for me, and I now think it's more intuitive to use than "photos."  I'd hate to think Aperture is no longer being supported by Apple.

 

Any advice?

    What has changed since March? What version of the OS and of Aperture do you have?

     

    and unfortunately Aperture is no longer being supported by Apple

    Thanks for the response.  (I have the latest OS version and assumed that Aperture was updated when I updated the computer.  Probably an erroneous assumption....). Since posting the question, I did a little more searching and came on a post suggesting that I check the "preferences" tab in Aperture to make sure that photo streams were enabled.  When I checked preferences, I saw that photo streaming was not enabled!  My thought is that since Aperture is no longer "supported" by Apple, when I updated the last OS that Aperture photo stream feature didn't make the cut.  Once I checked the "enable" box in Aperture, my missing photos came through fine.  I'll now know to look for that the next time I update the OS.
