Q: 9.3.4 Update - Native Podcast App Crashing

16GB iPhone 6

iOS 9.3.4 installed

 

After installation, podcast app would load and crash immediately.  Never "alive" long enough to navigate or input anything.

 

Restored from pre-update backup, but 9.3.4 remained installed.  Podcast app still crashed repeatedly.

 

Hard-reboot has not resolved.  Erase and restore has not resolved.  Unwilling to wipe and start over, considering this is a "minor" issue.

 

Any input on solutions would be appreciated.

    I have a very similar problem. All of my podcasts in the Apple Podcasts app were deleted/erased during the upgrade to 9.3.4.

     

    I've re-downloaded many of them, but they only play for less than a minute before the podcasts stops. The app is still active in the background but I have to re-open it, re-open the current podcast, hit play again. Only to get through another 30-60 seconds of content.

     

    As you said, a minor feature so I'm not willing to bend over backwards to fix it - but I sure as heck hope it's fixed in the next update.

    Same problem here. When I start the app I am getting a white screen and then it crashes. Restarting iPad didn't fix the problem
