Thanks for joining the Apple Support Communities! Storage space on your iPad is a precious thing that shouldn't go to waste. By creating these different projects, that media is certainly utilizing space within iMovie. If you open Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > click on the first "Manage Storage", you'll probably see that iMovie is taking up significant space with those project clips. In short, to clean up that content, we simply want to delete the project, as you're now finished with it. Don't forget to take a quick glance at Google drive to ensure those media files are safe, elsewhere. Then have a look at this resource:

Aug 24, 2016 8:07 AM in response to tim_135by IDscott,Hi Tim,
Thank you for your response! I did upload my finished iMovie and deleted the project. In fact, all my projects are deleted and yet the videos are still there. That is where my confusion begins. I look in Photos and the video clips are not there nor are they in my Videos. It is almost like they are in a download file but I do not know where to access them to delete them.
I also wanted to thank you for the link to the iMovie information.

In your Photos application, confirm that "Recently Deleted" has also been emptied. And what you may be seeing, are items that have been added to your iCloud account. On the iPad, check Settings > iMovie and make sure "Upload to iCloud" is turned off. Remember that any clips saved to iCloud may be removed. So while they appear in the iMovie application, they may not actually be taking up as much space.
If the items are still visible in your iMovie application, force close that app by double pressing the home button and swiping the application to the top of your screen. Proceed with powering the iPad off by holding your sleep/wake button until you see "Slide to power off". Allow a few moments and then power the device back on to test.
Hope this helps!
