Multicam clip name not showing in timeline

Hi folks,

When I insert a multicam clip into my timeline I do not see the name of the multicam clip. Instead, I see the file name of the source currently being shown. Is this normal? How can I easy see what multicam clip I am using if I need to replace it with an alternate take but they are hard to tell them apart but for their multicam clip names?

Also, how do I make it so the audio track is not the first visible track on the clip?

Thanks!

It's normal to show the track name of the current angle in the timeline. You can change the name to anything you like in the multicam editor - just click on the name.

You could, perhaps, prefix each angle name with a different number for each clip. (e.g. 1:CANON, 1:GoPro ...... 2:CANON, 2:GoPro ..... etc.) then you could see which clip you're using in the timeline.

To change the order of the angles click and drag on the 3 horizontal bars on the right of each lane.

There is a Clip Appearance menu at the bottom right of the Timeline. There you can check what to show as far as names go. Clip name, angle name, both, etc.

To edit with one audio track, and only switch video angles, is easy.

- Set to switch both audio and video together.

- Select the audio only angle.

- Set to switch only video angles

- Select video angle to start the edit with
