Q: Mac Mini has become very slow all of a sudden
Since this morning, my Mac Mini has become very, very slow. It is a 2009 with 4Gb RAM and the standard 120Gb hdd.
I run it with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and due to its slowness, I wanted to run hardware test to see what was wrong. (As it is still the original HDD, I am suspicious of its remaining life span.) However, whatever I try, I cannot seem to trigger anything on the mini than a regular restart. Whether I hold D, hold option-D, hold shift for safe mode, nothing seems to influence its booting.
Any thoughts? And also, any suggestions for things to check?
