iTunes stuck on "waiting"

This is my first time I've wanted to buy music from the iTunes store. Specifically, I wanted to buy the Hamilton cast recording. I have enough money in my account, however, when I pressed "buy album" all that happened was the spinning loading circle. It happened much longer than I thought it would so I closed out and decided to check back in later. About an hour afterward I open iTunes back up and I find the album in "downloads" with no cover art and "waiting" underneath the progress bar. I can't access the album from here so I search it again and instead of the circle there is the stop button like it is installing, but there is still no progress. I just stopped it. The Hamilton recording is a relatively large album, and that is the only reason why I can think it's hardly working. I really want to download this because I got a new card just for the purchase of this album. What can I do so it installs?

Hi there, rmanno!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. After reading your post, I see that you attempted to purchase an album from the iTunes Store, but are having trouble getting it downloaded. I love music, and am always getting new songs and albums to listen to, so I understand how important it is for that album to get downloaded. I'm happy to help!

My recommendation would be to go through the article below, which will take you through some troubleshooting to help get that album downloaded.

Happy listening!
