Microsoft Office 2016 installation

I was installing Microsoft Office 2016 on my Macbook Pro, (Mid 2010, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory, 46.72 GB of storage, OS X El Capitan) when it froze at 'Running Package Scripts' I waited for about half an hour, and it still didn't change. I tried restarting my computer, but that didn't work. I don't know what to do. Please help soon, I need Office for my schoolwork.
