Q: zero duration items on calendar

All the latest amendment or addition into my calendar will turn into "zero-duration" items in the wrong time slot after a few seconds automatically.

I can neither put anything there anymore nor rely on it for old entries, as the whole thing seems messed up now.

Is it something to do with iCloud sync or it's my iCal please?

    Hello Mask_hk,

Thank you for being part of the Apple Community!

It is my understanding you are experiencing a problem with your Calendar App on your iPad.  I know how important that calendar is to keep track of appointments and other life events.  I will certainly try to help you out.

The first thing we want to do is to make sure you have a current backup of everything on your iPad. Nothing I am going to suggest should cause any data loss, but it is always a good idea to have a backup.  If you follow this link, you will find instructions on how to do a backup:

How to backup your devices using iCloud or iTunes

The next step I would suggest is to toggle Calendars off on any accounts that are using Calendar and toggle back on again. You can do this by tapping on Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then tapping on any account that has Calendars listed under it by tapping that account and then toggle off Calendars.  Wait about 60 seconds, and then toggle Calendars back on.

If the Calendar is still not working as it should, then I would attempt to Reset All Settings.  Reset All Settings resets preference files that may be having issues. This step will not delete your contacts or photos or any personal information. It does remove all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy, and removes your Touch ID & Passcode.
