ApplicationsHi,
I have several accounts in Mail (Google, @me.com etc)
All are set to login when I start the app.
I can check whether both Incoming and Outgoing server involved are logged in in the Window Menu > Connection Doctor.
Could you explain further how you set up this email account in Mail so that it requires a Password to Send ?
This may help someone who knows Mail better than I do to suggest a solution.

Aug 25, 2016 1:46 AM in response to Ralph Johns (UK)by Daniel Gold3,Hello. I think the problem is with a firewall on my ISP, as the same problem is occurring with my wife's PC running Windows 10. I just arrived here in Israel from the United States and am therefore unfamiliar with the setup. When I find the solution, I'll post it.
Thanks for replying.

ApplicationsHi,
In Mail > Preferences > Accounts click on the account in question.
In will show you several tabs (these may vary depending on which version you happen to be using).
This is what I see in a Sierra beta version.
You may have a button suggesting access to all the Outgoing STMP servers.
If so use that and check the tabs there as well and make sure the outgoing server list the correct port, the correct authentication method, and the password if required.
This is an older version Google Mail set up
As you can see my Goolge mail Out-going server was also handling the out going mail for my Lineone account (that was originally Dial-up and then the ISP was taken over by Tiscali and later became Talk Talk)
