Hi, I'm planning on buying a used Mac Mini. It probably has an outdated version of Garage Band, so I was wondering if it could handle the latest version with these specs:
Processor: 1,88GHz Intel core 2 duo
Memory: 1Gb 667Mhz ddr2 sdram
iPad Air, iOS 9.3.1
no it can't in it's present state.
the latest version of GB need 10.11 and you don't have enough RAM to run the last 3 versions of OS X (only 10.11 is available if you don't already own the other ones btw)
upgrade your RAM
upgrade the OS

Based on the 667 MHz memory spped yo have either a 2006 or 2007 Mac Mini.
Are you sure yo have a 1.88 GHz processor since not Mac Mini has that. That closest is 1.83 MHz. A 1.83 can either be a late 2006 or 2007
In any event the 2006 can only go to 10,6,8 and the 2007 to 10.7.5.
I would at this time only get a 2010 or later Mini since only the 2010 and later can go to Sierra, 10.12
Can a Mac Mini with these specs run the latest version of Garage Band?
