how to transfer photos from iPhoto to iPad mini4?

I'm a long time iphoto user,used to be able to sync photos to my iOS devices via iTunes.

That capability is long gone so I need another way.

I am going on a trip and want to put some photos from iPhoto on my iPad mini4 so I can share them with folks at my destination (Ireland).

Any ideas how to do this?

I used to have a smart album on iPhoto named iPadsync which would sync in iTunes with my iPad,but this is no longer possible.

ps have latest El Cap and iOS software.

It is quite possible to sync photos from iphoto to an iDevice via iTunes just like it always was. Why do you think it's no longer possible? Where does it break down for you?

iTunes sync certainly does work with iPhoto and EL Captain - what exact problem are you having?

and you can sync via USB - Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB - Apple Support - or via WiFi - Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes using Wi-Fi - Apple Support

Thanks for replies--I am just not used to the ever-changing iTunes interface. I did find the "Photos" tab after i clicked around a bit,right before I read LarryHN's reply.

I tried clickiing the "this solved my question" under LarryHN's reply and nothing happened.

Somehow the Apple Support Forum interface has advanced beyond my ken.
