Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you've been experiencing and issue with no sound on your Powerbeats 2 headphones. I use my headphones with my iPhone regularly. I know how important it is to have your headphones work as expected. I am happy to help.
You've done a great job trying to fix this on your own. The next step I recommend is to make sure the firmware is up to date. To do this use the steps in the link below:

Aug 24, 2016 2:55 PM in response to becky_s22by Hobbylobby19,I tried this and it says the beats are up to date and they still aren't playing music through the headphones. I can hear sound when I turn them on and off but it's not playing any of the sound from the phone to the headphones.

- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
