Q: Powerbeats2 wireless not playing sound

I Purchased my powerbeats2 wireless about a month ago. Today while listening to music the sound stopped playing in the earphones and started playing on the phone. All the buttons on the earphones still work and the phone responds but still no sound. Since then the earphones have been charged and reset twice to fix the problem but to no avail. Anyome know what may be the issue?

    Hello Hobbylobby19,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you've been experiencing and issue with no sound on your Powerbeats 2 headphones. I use my headphones with my iPhone regularly. I know how important it is to have your headphones work as expected. I am happy to help.

You've done a great job trying to fix this on your own. The next step I recommend is to make sure the firmware is up to date. To do this use the steps in the link below:

    Firmware updates with Beats Updater

    Cheers.

I tried this and it says the beats are up to date and they still aren't playing music through the headphones. I can hear sound when I turn them on and off but it's not playing any of the sound from the phone to the headphones.

Thank you for trying that step and following up. Next, we recommend restarting the iPhone.

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also make sure your iPhone software is up to date. Please use the link below for assistance:
Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, please try pairing the headphones with another device.

    Have a great day!
