Aug 23, 2016 1:58 PM in response to premierepodcasterby Roger Wilmut1,The iTunes Store within iTunes on a Mac has indeed changed to using the podcasts.com feed. However since you changed the feed only by using Podcasts Connect this will not migrate any existing subscribers, who will still be reading the old feed. To migrate them you have to add the 'itunes:new-feed-url' to the old feed (if possible) and/or set up a 301 redirect on the server (something you are unlikely to be able to do with a Podbean feed and you may well not be able to add the tag there either). The process is described at http://wilmut.uk/move
However I can't say how this impinges on the Podcasts App since I don't have an iOS device and I'm not sure how it accesses the podcast. If it does so by subscribing to the feed then it won't change either. Try deleting it from your device and then re-subscribing in the usual way and see whether it now updates.

Aug 23, 2016 6:24 PM in response to Roger Wilmut1by premierepodcaster,Hi!
So you are saying that my feed needs to change to 'itunes:new-feed-url'rachelmbaldwin.podbean.com/feed/ ?? Where do I put this if I don't put it in podcast connect?
Also, this article says something about podbean offering a change of url https://create.blubrry.com/resources/podcast-media-hosting/migrating-to-blubrry/ moving-podbean/. Can you confirm that this is what you wanted me to do?

Aug 23, 2016 11:09 PM in response to premierepodcasterby Roger Wilmut1,Yes, the section entitled 'Change your feed URL at Podbean (also known as a 301 Redirect)' is what you should do.
For clarification, there are three ways of redirecting the Store and iTunes to a different feed URL:
1. Podcast Connect: changing the URL here will redirect the iTunes Store but that's all it can do. Subscribers won't be affected because they are not using the Store any more.
2. Adding the 'new-feed-url' tag to the original feed (something many of these services won't allow you to do). This will redirect both the Store and subscribers in iTunes. It's permanent once either has checked the feed - removing the tag doesn't undo the redirect. You need to leave it in place for a couple of weeks to give subscribers every chance to check the feed and get the redirect. The Store will do it within a couple of days. However any other feed readers won't be affected (and I don't know how it affects the Podcasts app).
3. A 301 redirect on the server redirects all requests from any client, so including other feed readers. It's described as 'permanent' but it's possible that if it is removed the redirect may fail in some cases if the user's cache is cleared.
If you can do all three you should; however it looks as if you can't do 2, but the 301 redirect should be fine.
