iPhone SE Panorama Poor Exposure (Dark)

In low light conditions, the panorama selection of the camera app consistently fails to expose properly, it's always too dark to see anything. When you switch to regular mode, exposure is normal, and often not bad under identical lighting conditions.

I've seen a few comments about this in this community, all of which are 3-4 years old, with people noticing a similar effect with older phones, so it's not a new issue, apparently, but I am wondering how common this is? Maybe it's something that can be fixed with a settings tweak?

For the record, this is NOT an issue of the panorama mode failing to change exposure while you take a pan, which is another issue I've seen mentioned here. In this case, the panorama mode shows so dark instantly that you wouldn't attempt to take a pan at all, you just use regular mode. Literally, it's so dark that there is almost no exposure to be seen at all. That's why I think it could be a bug or something solvable.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts or advice!

Thanks! I just find it amazing that an Apple product works so poorly in one specific area (an area in which there are many apps available in the app store that work better) and nobody's talking about it. Other developers make software that exposes properly under low light, why can't Apple?

The fewer people talk about it, the less likely it gets resolved soon, I should add.

It's clearly a software issue, since 3rd party apps don't have the problem.
