Q: Water damged 2009 MacBook??

Hello, I have a 2009 MacBook(Plastic Unibody) that recently had some water spillage. I turned it off, dried it for a few days plugged it back in and it is fine except for a few problems:

  1. Keyboard not working(usb keyboard works fine)
  2. Does not sleep or turn off. If I try to press shut down or sleep it just comes right back on, if I close display the screen turns off but I can hear computer running, with computer eventually getting very hot. Only option to turn it off is to let the battery die.
  3. No matter what I do or how hot the computer gets, with default settings the fan rpms are stuck at around 2,000. So when I am just on my browser the temp according to smcFanControl gets up to around 65 Celcius. Is this normal?

Other than that everything else is working fine, RAM and CPU are not too overloaded... Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Could it be the logic board? At this point if it needs serious repair I am considering the possibility of just backing up the computer and possibly removing the hard drive and getting a new computer? It is now 7 years old and only costs about $250 to buy used, only it works just fine so I would like to avoid replacing it if not expensive. Any advice on how much it might cost to fix at an Apple Authoried care provider/ where to go from here would be appreciated.

Thanks!

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), 13-inch, late 2009
