Q: Mac Pro: Boots up fine, unable to access drives
Hi,
I have a:
Mac Pro 2009 2 x 2.26 Quad-core
32gb ram
4tb storage
OS - 10.9.5
Boot Drive - OWC 480gb SSD
Problem:
I currently have 4 drives installed in my Mac. Yesterday while accessing media between different drives, the finder 'froze'. I'm not able to access any drive - though my desktop looks normal. I restart the computer - it boots up fine, i'm able to access the internet, but only able to access the HD's for ~10secs - then the same thing happens. Adobe software is not opening and gives me a 'Configuration Error - please uninstall and reinstall the product'.
I did a NVRAM reset, SMC reset, formatted and reinstalled OS on boot drive - same problem.
What should I do?
Thanks

I ended up updating to El Capitan. So far everything is operating as should. I also updated the firmware on my SSD.
Fingers crossed.
