Q: Compilation Albums missing itunes match

Hi,

I have two devices (Iphone and Ipad) which I have linked to my itunes match account on my PC. On both devices I am not able to see any of my compilation albums. In itunes I can see that they have been "matched" so are in the icloud.

I have rebooted both devices and de-linked and relinked them to refresh the content but with no success. I only have 4000 songs so haven't reached my limit.

I think the issue sits with itunes itself. When I am in "Albums" view mode I can see that all these albums sit in a separate "Compilations" section to my other albums.

Help would be appreciated!

thanks

    Hello mrbazzerman,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

If I understand correctly, you are unable to see the your compilation albums.  I will try to help you out.

Are you seeing any of the music from these albums?  iTunes can handle compilation albums a little differently.

If the album is a compilation

If the album is a compilation of songs from multiple artists, iTunes might list the songs in separate albums.

To mark the songs as part of a compilation, follow these steps:

    1. Select all of the songs that belong in the compilation.
    2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Edit > Get Info.
If you're using Windows and can't see the menu bar, learn how to turn it on.
    3. When the message "Are you sure you want to edit information for multiple items?" appears, click Edit Items.
    4. Select "Album is a compilation of songs by various artists."
    5. Click OK.

    Cheers!
