Q: How to get GarageBand for free on iPod touch?

I googled it and this webpage came up:

according to this, my 16GB iPod touch 6th gen is eligible to get GarageBand. But when I go into the App Store, it still comes up with the price (note it is in AUD)

Was your device purchased on or after September 1, 2014? If so you would need to contact Apple using the link at the bottom of this page and inquire how to get this software. Otherwise your device is ineligible for this software.
