Q: iCal does not sync from OS 10.11.6 to iOS 9.3.4

This very frustrating as every time I update my devices, my iCal on my MacBook Pro (OS X) does not synch with my iPhone 6s (iOS 9.3.4). I have missed appointments or double scheduled due to this. My iCloud settings are set to sync but events only sync from phone to compute, but not computer to phone. Please share the proper procedure to set iCloud to sync properly.

I use my calendar apps on my iPhone and Mac to keep track of appointments too. I'll be glad to help you keep yours in sync on your MacBook Pro on OS X 10.11.6 and your iPhone 6s on iOS 9.3.4.
