Prebinding failed

I recently installed El Capitan on a friend's 2009 macbook pro & then used Superduper to transfer all her user files to her HD. All went fine until it gave me the message that "Prebinding" failed. I booted her mac & everything works fine except things are very very slow when I open apps, etc. Is there any way for me to do the Prebinding?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Well hey there Harris Miller,

Thanks for joining the Apple Support Communities and for your question regarding the "Prebinding" error that you're presented with. It's certainly great to have a computer that runs up to speed with all the latest software updates. Let's work together and see what we can accomplish to speed things up.

Before proceeding, it's always great to have a backup. Apple's method for creating full system backups is through Time Machine. If you'd like to go that route, on top of Superduper, here are those steps:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

After a complete backup, go ahead and download the OS X El Capitan Combo Update:

Download OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 Combo Update

After this update, if the Mac is still running a little slow, try booting into safe mode:
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up

Keep in touch if you're still experiencing a lag in performance.

All the best.
