Q: Can't change book title in iBook Author

Hi everyone,

 

I've a problem with the book title in iBook Author. It's the german version 2.3.1 of iBooks Author.

 

I wrote a book in iBooks author. At the beginning I forgot to change the predefined name and now it's unchangeable (I can change it in the info but it doesn't change in preview and when I want to publish it).

The strange thing I don't understand is, that the name of the author could have been changed at the same time.

 

What I've actually tested:

- to change it in the infos

- to reset it for iBook store

 

Can anyone help me? I would be very grateful.

    Did you change the title also in the Document Inspector?

    Yes, I changed it in the Document Inspector. It still doesn't work.  Do you have any other tips or solutions?

    Right click on the .iba app.  Get info.  Change the title there.

    Sry, it doesn't work.

    There are a few pictures they describe the problem.

     

    The Document Inspector is changed:

    The Information of the .iba App:

    And this is the problem, when I want to publish the ibook. It says: if you want to publish the "booktitle" (=Buchtitel) click continue. And I don't want to name the iBook "booktitle".

    If I begin with a new iBook-file and firstly change the title into my title I want, it works. But I wouldn't be that happy to copy 100 pages into a new file.

    When you rename the book in the very top section Screen Shot 2016-08-31 at 12.19.56 PM.jpg

    make sure you erase even the .iba and retype it after

    the new name.

    Go back to rename the book in the BOOK section.

    Delete everything from the title section. Add a new text box

    and designate it as a text placeholder (Format, Advanced, Text Placeholder)

    Font 72 or so.
