24 hour format support in discussion communities

what: there seems to be plenty of interest for 24 hour format support in iCloud; wondering if this should be supported in discussion communities as well why: easier to type; easier to do math with; integration for iCloud and other products that do support it. how:

I am a fan of "military time" = ZULU is GMT used by the US military to "synchronize watches" worldwide - BUT - either 24-hour clock would take some getting used to for many.

The "option" would be nice - just like a Mac or iOS device!! (or PC, Android)

Let's BOTH send our suggestions to https://www.apple.com/support/feedback/ & choose "Discussions" from the topics Menu 😉

History

The 24-hour time system has its origins in the Egyptian astronomical system of decans, and has been used for centuries by scientists, astronomers, navigators, and horologists. There are many surviving examples of clocks built using the 24-hour system, including the famous Orloj in Prague, and the Shepherd Gate Clock at Greenwich.[citation needed]

At the International Meridian Conference in 1884, Lewis M. Rutherfurd proposed that:[11]

This universal day is to be a mean solar day; is to begin for all the world at the moment of midnight of the initial meridian coinciding with the beginning of the civil day and date of that meridian, and is to be counted from zero up to twenty-four hours.

This resolution was adopted by the conference.

But could they implement the "Choice" on the prefs page? 😉 (yes, probably)

I would much rather the AppleJiveTeam spend their precious man hours fixing my email notification problem that has been ongoing since before they undertook to fix it beginning in JANUARY - or all the other forum bugs like Phantom Posts (a post that one knows exists from an email notice but is not visible to YOU but is to others), "You are not allowed to create or update content",

- OR -

providing a facility to change "skins" on ASC like most robust bulletin boards

you might take a look at "Installing and Using Styles" link on https://www.phpbb.com/styles/ - it has the "architecture" of how they think one should build a "structure" of elements (different 'files' for Header, Footer, thread, forum, etc. - would correspond to 'separate' CSS like I proposed = "ala carte" choices for Stylish?)
