Q: Determine If Full Resolution Photos Srored On Computer.
I have been using my Mac with "optimize Mac storage" for photo storing on iCloud. I want to move those photo to my wife's iCloud account, a different Apple ID. My underetanding is that photos can not be transferr from one iCloud to another iCloud account on the back end. So the best optoon appears to be to log into her iCloud account on my Mac and upload photos to her iCloud account using Photo. My question is how do I now that the upload will be the full resolution photos and not the space saving low resolution photos?

Hello D.Pass.
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you want to export some or all of your photos in the Photos app of your iMac to another iCloud account. I'm happy to provide you with some direction to achieve this.
There's a couple of ways this could be done.
First option is to sign out of iCloud in your user account in the iMac, and then sign in with your wife's iCloud account.
Since you currently have the "Optimize Mac Storage" turned on, you might not have all of your original photos and videos on your iMac. To download the original photos and videos on your iMac, be sure you have enough storage in your iMac to download all your photos, open the Photos app, choose Photos > Preferences, then select Download Originals to this Mac. Wait until all the photos have been downloaded. Then sign out your iCloud account in System Preferences > iCloud.
Now you can sign in with your wife's iCloud account. And setup iCloud Photo Library in the iCloud option panel in System Preferences > iCloud.
Second option is to export all your photos from the Photos app in your user account. Then add them too your wife's Photo app in her user account, whether her account is in the same iMac, or another Mac or PC.
Here's an article with detailed steps on how to export photos from the photos app:
