Q: Trying to make a new color set in the chart inspector in Keynote 6.6

Trying to add colors and make a new color set in the chart inspector.

When I save a new chart style, the colors sets are there, but when you click inside, there are not saved as a set.

Anyone know if this can be modified by the user or are they defaults that cannot be changed?

Also noticed that when you edit a custom chart style, the style is applied to all the types of charts.

I've noticed that if you edit the first chart style in the inspector, say, using a bar chart, when you make a pie chart, some of the color slices will be different colors than the 7 you set up for that style. Why?

On a side note, now that you unzip a keynote package, they have replaced the xml files with .iwa files? Is there a way to open and edit the script in these, like you could do with xmi?

thanks!

Trying to add colors and make a new color set in the chart inspector.

    • Change the chart colours with the new cusom colours you want to use
    • on the slide, click to select the whole chart:     Inspector > Format > Chart
    • in chart styles, click the right arrow
    • click the plus button
    • save as theme:  File > Save Theme and select add to chooser

Not if you do it correctly by saving the new style as a theme, then choosing a custom theme to use

Apple have created a new propriotry file type for use in Keynote version 6 series to be compatible with Keynote for iOS. Users are unable to change iwa files. Why would you want to?
