Q: transfer photos from current PC to icloud?

The photos on my phone are uploaded automatically so all working well but I have 60gb of photos stored on my windows computer - how do i get them onto my icloud (so as a back up) - I have icloud for windows software and it appears i can upload single photos but i can't find a way to upload all the photos 'all at once'. I know it will take a long time and I'm not bothered by that, but surely there must be a way of doing it rather than opening up each folder and then entering each photo?

Has anyone else tried to do this? Hoping someone can help.

See the section "Upload your photos and videos to iCloud Photo Library" in:

Set up and use iCloud Photo Library on your Windows PC - Apple Support

You should be able to select multiple photos by shift-clicking (or ctrl-clicking each one) and then drag and drop those photos and videos from your PC into the Uploads folder in iCloud Photos.

Hi Thank you very much for replying - appreciate it. I can, as you say upload photos the way you suggest, but if i want to take advantage of my 200gb storage and i have 60gb of photos, it would be good to either click on each folder (eg summer 96) and send all to icloud without opening the folder and copying the contents or even better send the directory 'photos' with about 50 folders in it 'all at once' if that makes sense!!!

Any tips? or is it possible?

    Thank you
