Q: My iPhone 6 is getting stuck at 100%

Seems to have started around 9.3.4 update

First saw it over the weekend. An overnight charge and hard reset suddenly brought it back to life and showing somewhat normal depletion. But issue came back again yesterday. And even though phone was plugged into the Car USB, it died on the way home (I also suspect WAZE, but don't know how it could keep the percentage from not changing).

Today did hard reset and Reset all Settings and normal power off/on and so far no change.

A friend was able to look up diagnostics I ran on my phone and he said no issues shown with battery (only issue with Apps quitting).

Phone is almost 2 years old and I'm willing to replace the battery, just not sure that will fix this issue.

Any other thoughts (besides a complete erase and restore which I will attempt).

Thanks,

Laz

If you haven't tried yet, deplete the battery to 0% then re charge to 100%. That might re calibrate it.

You can check to see app battery usage in Settings > Battery

I have the same problem with my iPhone 6, also about 2 years old, running iOS 9.3.5.

    I've also:

    • Shut it down and restarted it
    • Set Date & Time to "Set Automatically" an Apple recommended solution
    • Depleted the battery until the phone dies (it still read 100% battery) then recharged overnight (assuming that would be fully recharged, though it always read 100%).
    • Downloaded the app Battery Life which indicates "Average" Wear Level (Runtimes are reduced by 13%)

Anecdotal observation: I've always charged my phone to top it off, whether it needs a charge or not.
