Q: reinstall aperture 3.6

Aperture 3.6 has consistently given me an internal error.  only chooses are to continue or crash.  crash crashes with me sending a discription of that happened.  Continues freezes after a couple of minutes.  I can't locate any thing else to do ,  Rebuilding hasn't helped.

Can I and how do I re-install it?  Do I just go to to app store?  It was installed from an disc back when we did it that way.

Check to see that it is listed under the Purchases tab of the App Store app. If so, drag Aperture too the Trash, and re-download it from the App Store.

Aperture 3.6 is the most recent version of Aperture and has only been released from the AppStore.

But before you reinstall, test if the problem is caused by your Aperture library or is independent of the library. Create a new, empty library for testing and check, if Aperture is crashing for this library as well or not.

To create a new library launch aperture while holding down the options key to bring up the library chooser panel.

If Aperture does not not crash on a new library, reinstalling will not help.

If Aperture is crashing on a new library, post the first fifty lines of the crash log.
