Q: lost control of my Mac?

All of a sudden, i no control over my Mac. Screens come and go, apps I never started are "quitting unexpectedly".

I started up with D key held down and ran hdwe check - all OK.

I used the shift key to start up in safe mode. That was OK, stable for while, then chaos again.

I reckon I've been hacked or picked up a virus.

I did backup to Time Capsule a day or two ago.

How do I get out of this mess? Strip the machine and get a new copy of Yosemite?

mid-2011 mac mini running Yosemite with 8GB DDR3 memory.

Thanks, Bob

PS - working on my MBP -it's OK

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), late 2012

This is very nice, but Etrecheck did an analysis of my MBP, which is running fine.

I need it done for my Mac-mini, and I doubt I can get all the cascading screens, apps opening and

closing, etc. to sit still long enough to download Etrecheck.

    Thanks anyhow,

    Bob
