Q: Ex-husband account name popping up in username

I went to update my apps and what I would assume is my ex-husbands apple ID popped into the username.  He never used this email before but I know it's his (storm trooper reference and number he used all the time).  It was never his Apple ID when we are married. Why is his account being associated to my MAC and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks

Do you have two user accounts on your computer or only one? If the latter, is that one account a shared account created under his username? If so, then open the iCloud preferences panel and log out (you will need the password,) then log back in using your own private Apple ID and password. For iTunes you want to log out of the open account and log back in with your Apple ID and password. Do the same for the App Store account.

Now, if all your apps and OS X were purchased/downloaded using your ex's Apple ID, then you need to erase the drive and install a new copy of OS X downloaded with your Apple ID. Same for all the App Store acquired software. Follow the steps outlined in this article: What to do before selling or giving away your Mac.
