Hi

It can be normal for your iPhone to become warm when using it. The exterior acts as a cooling surface, transferring heat from inside the iPhone device to cooler air outside.

If the internal temperature reaches a certain level, your iPhone will try to protect its components by attempting to regulate its temperature.

This may happen, for example, if the iPhone is subjected to high ambient temperature conditions (such as being in direct sunlight) or when playing some graphics-intensive games. When this occurs, the iPhone may display a temperature warning and/or the display may dim or go black.

If your iPhone shows a temperature warning or otherwise becomes unusually warm: turn it off, move it to a cooler environment (do not connect it to a charger) and allow it to cool down (perhaps for an hour or so) before resuming use.
