Q: I need new aluminum case for MacBook Pro 17"

Hi all,

My MacBook Pro 17" 2006 (more or less) needs new case. If I buy from e-Bay a second hand, can I change it...?

Is compatible ?

Will it works, as idea...?

Thanks in advance

It might be possible, though it's quite hard to do it, I think. Just wonder why you need case only.

Make certain that the case is for the EXACT model/year as your current MBP.  You can change it but it is a substantial undertaking and will require a lot of patience.  Go to the iFixit.com web site and look at their pictorial instructions to get a good idea what will be involved.

    Ciao.

I need the case only, because is damage. over the years, outside..

I understand that.  You need to make certain that all the components will fit properly in the replacement case and understand this will not be a 30 minute project.

    Ciao.
