Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important music can be to your daily routine. I'd be lost without my playlists. I'd like to help you get your music back and have some articles and tips that should help.
If your iPod is an iPod touch model, you can redownload all of your purchased music through the iTunes Store using the instructions here: Download your past purchases
If your iPod is a non-iOS model, you will need to redownload your purchases from a Windows or Macintosh computer and sync them back to your device. The above article contains instructions on downloading using iTunes as well. Non-Apple devices like the Kindle are not able to access iTunes.
As a side note, if any of your music was ripped from CDs or imported from another source like a flash drive or SD card, you will have to manually import those song into iTunes to add them to your iPod.
If you have any questions or any other concerns, please reach out again. The whole community is here to help.
-Best Regards.
