Q: How can I make my logitech h111 work on my macbook white?

I recently bought a logitech h111 headset and microphone for my Macbook white. However the mic doesn't work. It can detect tapping sounds, but that's it. It cannot detect my voice even if I shout. It's says on the box that it is MAC OS x 10.5 verson or later compatible. My mac OS is El Capitan. Please help! I do knot know what to do.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

There have been solutions online and in rare discussions here, to suggest

a few different ways of resolving the issue; one would be to have a now

hard to find USB audio adapter from Griffin (iMic) that solved this problem.

In some cases, a dual wire single plug adapter cord may work, if both of

the functions are supported by separate cable (mic/headphone).

Since MacBooks have the single port for audio in and out a better adapter

had been suggested; not sure where I read about this exact issue two weeks

ago. Nobody had asked, so I did not pay further attention to the solution.

An older discussion mentions a few options; to include the iPhone headset

or one from iPad,microphone w/ earphone; these use a 4-connector plug.

This solution splits the two internal connections by use of adapter, to then

enable external connectors (like a splitter) - some look better than others:

Hopefully you can find the correct item to try & use.

    Good luck !
