iTunes 12.4.3.1

Hi. New Dell Inspiron 3650 desktop pc and Windows 10 OS about a month ago. Downloaded iTunes 12.4.3.1, authorized my iPod as my 3rd device. When I go into SONGS, all of the songs on the iPod have a light gray check. No RIGHT CLICK option to delete any. Went through all of the HELP documents, played with the various commands. Tried syncing and restarting. Have looked at YouTube directions, other blogs, etc. Still can't figure out why I can't delete songs from my iPod. Help?

I suspect iTunes thinks your device is synced with another library. Switching it to manual mode may make it want to delete all content. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device if there is content on the device you want that isn't stored elsewhere.
