Q: Disk Utility : Verifying Volume taking longer

I am trying to verify & repair volume after my imac stucked on apple logo with loading screen.

But Verifying Volume : Estimated time 13 hours.

How longer it will take? is it normal.

It depends on HDD size, though 13 hours is too long for verify and repair.
You'd better replace HDD.

We don't know what iMac you have, however I'd recommend that you run either Apple Hardware Test (in extended mode 2-3 times back to back) or if your machine can run Apple Diagnostics run that.
