    Hi inegron61,

I understand that after updating OS X, your printer's scan feature has stopped working. Try checking the printer manufacture website for any updates to the printer as well. You can find drivers at this link: Ricoh Support

If after updating the printer drivers, you are still unable to scan, try resetting the printer system and re-adding the printer to your Mac. This link can assist you with that. OS X El Capitan: Reset the printing system

These steps should have your printer working as expected. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. Have a great day.

HI. Scan to folder don't use scanner drivers, instead it use SMB and sharing folder function to place a document in a folder already shared in a computer. I know long time ago Mac stop supporting SMB but there are procedures to use AFP and it was working until the last update 10.11.6. What really help is a detailed explanation of the changes made o that upgrade and how to change it or at least the related to put a file on a folder. Actually the Ricoh machine cannot even authenticate to a Mac with 10.11.6.
