I recently bought a mid-2015 Macbook Pro. I also have 2 cinema displays.
I have a problem where my cinema display is not turning on when I plug in an *active* Macbook Pro into it.
So let's say I'm working on my couch with my MBP. My machine is on. Then I decide to plug it into my cinema display. The only way I can do that right now is by turning off my MBP, plugging it into the cinema display and then booting up my MBP while the cinema display is plugged into it.
I used to have a Macbook Air 2011 and never experienced this problem so I presume it's related to some disconnect between the new mid-2015 Macbook Pro (perhaps El Capitan) and the cinema display.
Any help would be much appreciated.
