Q: Calibri is not an option in Keynote

Running OS X El Capitan v10.11.3 and Keynote 6.6.2

Calibri is not listed as an option in the font list in Keynote. I have done Format > Fonts > Show Fonts and selected the "All Fonts" view — no Calibri. I use FontExplorer Pro to manage fonts and it is shown as installed as a Mac System font. In Font Book, it is also listed as active and is verified as a usable font.

Calibri is available for all other software I use — Adobe CC, Microsoft Office products, etc. Why is a Mac system font not showing up as an option in an Apple-produced software. It makes no sense.

I need to use this specific font for a presentation we are creating for a client. Using a font substitution is not an option.

Suggestions?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Calibri is not a Mac Sytem font, and Apple has nothing to do with its installation.

Calibri is a Microsoft font and will have been installed with Microsoft Office ( you have indicated you have it installed).

The font should have been installed here:  El Capitan > Library > Fonts  > Microsoft

If it is not located there,  re-install Microsoft Office to locate the font correctly.

It is there, but still not coming up as an option in Keynote. I reinstalled and updated my Office suite. Nothing changed.

Office 2008 for Mac, and Office 2011 for Mac installed the font into System areas, but Office 2016 for Mac does not. It keeps the Microsoft fonts inside their respective application bundles, and this is outside of the normal OS X Font search paths.
