Does your Macbook meet:
AirDrop system requirements
To send items to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or to receive items from those devices, you need a 2012 or later Mac model with OS X Yosemite or later, excluding the Mac Pro (Mid 2012).
From:
i have mid 2014 mac and os x EI Capitan
Have you powered off and then back on your router?
Have you turned on AIrDrop on the phone?
Did it work before?
i am facing this problem since i bought this iPhone 6s ( 6 months). Before i had iPhone 5 that used to be connected but that also stopped connecting. Also it doesnt even get paired with mac
What router do you have?
Are you the administrator of the router?
A computer can't meaningfully pair via BT to an iOS device with apps on each device.
You can try resetting the router and resetting it up.

There is nothing in current iOS and OS X that requires "Pairing." All connections are made automatically.
Does your router provide both a 2.4GHz band and 5GHz band under the same SSID? If so, can you configure it to show them as separate networks? If so, try that and make sure they are both on the same band.
