While at home I cannot send email with Mac mail. OS EL Capitan, POP account, servers in and out both set: mail.mediacombb.net, ports 995 in and 465 out. Tried deleting and putting in info again. Also, I cannot send email on my Dell Windows live mail or my ipod but can receive on all devices while at home.. If I take my Dell laptop or ipod to McDonalds WiFi, everything works......both receiving and sending. Ideas????
On your Mac open the Mac Mail app then go to the menu bar and click Window > Connection Doctor
Try restarting/resetting your router and if applicable, your modem.

I have learned that this is a Mediacom (ISP)
issue and not the fault of my equipment or settings. Sure would be nice if Mediacom was upfront and mentioned they are having issues with some ports being blocked!! They say their engineers are working on it.
