Recently my MacBook Pro has not been able to Bluetooth connect with my iPhone 6s

Recently my MacBook Pro has not been able to Bluetooth connect with my iPhone 6s it has worked in the past but now on my iPhone pops up not supported which is hilariously ironic. Macbook pro is x el capitan can't link to my iPhone 6s via Bluetooth have a feeling happened recently as I updated my phone recently & it worked plenty of times before
