Aug 25, 2016 3:30 PM in response to RFFelipesby Rysz,Restore will copy all the data that's included in the backup. That is NOT everything that's on your old phone. Apps will need to be re-downloaded from the App Store, Photos and Music will need to be re-synced from your computer, but your settings, passwords and app and Health data is included in the backup to iCloud. iTunes backups (which I recommend) include sensitive data only if you chose to Encrypt the backup. To make sure this backup is not overwritten by a backup of the new phone: iTunes > Preferences > Devices > select the most recent iphone backup, right-click on it, then select yo lock/archive it.
Bottom line... Make a fresh backup of the old phone and import all your photos, videos and music to your computer. After Restore is finished, leave the new phone connected to iTunes and/or Internet, so it has the time to download and sync all the files that are not in the backup.
It all sounds more frightening and complicated than it really is. Millions of users do this all the time.
