iTunes

Q: Can't download all my itunes purchases on MacBook 5.2.

I have itunes purchases I made on my iphone and I can't get them to download onto my MacBook 5.2. Granted, it is an old computer. I have OS X 10.6.3. Do I need a newer operating system?
