Q: Safari message help
Hello,
I was surfing using Safari today when the website I clicked on redirected me to this message:
Potential threat detected! warning: your apple device(IPhone or IPad) may have ADWARE/SPYWARE VIRUS. Call Apple iOS support +1-844-307-0761 immediately for assistance on how to remove the virus. Seeing these pop-ups mean that you have a virus installed on your Apple device which puts your personal data at risk.
The website proceeded to open my email app and then the message is now in the form of an email to be sent out to sent out to some unknown email adress. I immediately closed Safari. When I open it again, it redirects me to the iPhone mail app with this message in the body of the email. I wentto settings to clear my history and data. I also turned the phone off for a few mins. Should I still be concerned that there might be something on my phone?? I am afraid to use my bank app or any other apps that has personal information.
I appreciate any help. Thanks.
iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.1

Any such pop up message will always be a scam. Do not interact with such messages.
Double tap the Home button, then swipe upwards on the Safari preview.
Go to Settings - Safari - Clear History.
Restart Safari.
