Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It appears that you are having some issues playing songs in iTunes, even though you just purchased an album. I use iTunes as well and I depend on being able to play the music I've purchased. I will be happy to help you.
First you will want to Get the latest version of iTunes. Then, if you haven't recently, please restart your PC and then reopen iTunes and see if you are able to play the songs once again.
