Switching from CAN to USA

Hello!

I used to live in Canada, and than recently moved to the USA, during that time I bought a new iphone 6s (American phone) and stopped using my canadian iphone6, and have been using my canadian apple ID, when i try to change my apple ID to the USA country, it will not work.

ive tried my husbands credit card, my credit cards it simply will not change the store. Ive been trying to avoid having to create a new apple ID in order not to loose any of my canadian contacts, but seems there is no other solution? If you have one Id be happy to help, I called apple about it but the customer service rep didnt know how to do it either.

What happens when you try to change countries, if you are getting an error message what does it say ?

Changing country : Change your iTunes Store country or region - Apple Support

The cards that you are trying to use, they are issued by a US bank and are registered to your US address ?

says my card is declined, but it shouldnt be everything is correct and theres plenty of money in thereoops sorry the card im trying to use is american its USAA and yes registered to an american address

if i use canadian card it just says declined as well. if i dont use a card it wont change the store :/

You can't use a Canadian card, only cards issued by US banks (and registered to the US address that you are putting on the account) might work - are any of the cards issued by a US bank, and have you checked with the card issuer(s) to check if they are declining it/them for use with iTunes ?

ive tried the us card from USAA which is registered to a US address and it wont work. my husband has apple products as well and it works on his apple account
