Is iphone5 compatible with JIO 4G Volte?

Go to settings-> Mobile Data->Mobile data options-> Mobile data network -> Enter APN-> 'jionet' & Personal Hotspot APN-> 'jionet' then restart the phone. It will work, but you cannot call on volte so either facetime calls or whatsapp calls are your options, also let others know to call you on whatsapp/facetime as you'll always show out of network when others call.

My recent finding is that after updating my iphone 5 to the latest version of iOS 10, my new Jio 4G SIM is able to lock to Jio 4G / LTE network and is able to provide high speed data connection only. I am unable to make calls as of now. My iphone 5 model is A1428.

Yes, I have upgraded my Iphone 5 latest 10.3.2 and where it showed in setting APN : jionet.

It worked for me.

Please download jio4g voice for making out going calls

Restarted the mobile just in case.Worked fine

I do agree the older version of the iphone 5 did not work even I tried the same. Even I felt bad. When Apple release new version it started supporting and working fine.

upgrade the OS. I have at present 10.3 latest.

To all who are using the Iphone 5 . Request you to kindly upgrade the software .In setting put JIO details in all the places APN and download the jio app for making out going calls.

Starting with looking at this document about LTE and the iPhone: iPhone - View countries with supported LTE networks - Apple

JIO isn't listed for use with the iPhone 5. So it's unlikely that it would work on that network. You can double check with the carrier for them to confirm this, too.

No you can't, as models below iPhone 6 doesn't have VoLTE support. But you can use 4G internet in iPhone 5 and 5s, no voice support.

But how to use data too. My phone keeps on showing no network n nothing else

Nope IPhone 5 using JIO S Sim is not compatible to use 4G data or voice calls .

It will show no network

Go to setting -> mobile data -> mobile data options ->

In mobile data

Select "lte" as network

Then go to mobile data network

Use jio net in every apn

Restart phone !

Set network selection to automatic!

And there you go to us jio
